Kim Delaney, an American actress best known as Detective Diane Russell on ABC's NYPD Blue series for which she received the Emmy Award. Her most well-known role is her role in All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives. Delaney was born the sole child of her mother who was a homemaker and senior executive from her union, the United Auto Workers. Delaney lived most of her life with her four brothers. While she had a childhood goal of becoming journalist, it was not until her high school years that Delaney began to model. After moving from New York City and gaining experience with commercials and commercials in New York did she achieve an aspiring career as court reporters. Her first acting job was as a teen innocent as a child in All My Children, a 1981 soap opera. Delaney's career has been filled by a myriad of TV films and dramas.
