Kim Delaney was an American actor from the United States. The actress is best known because of her part as the detective Diane Russell, in the ABC show NYPD Blue. For this she was awarded the Emmy Award. In addition, she was a part of shows like All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. Delaney was the only daughter of a United Auto Workers executive and his wife, who was a domestic worker. She grew up in a home which included four brothers. As a young girl, Delaney hoped to be a court-reporter. But in highschool her modeling career began when she was able to model commercials, she moved to New York. When she was a teenager the first time she appeared as an actor was on the soap opera All My Children. The career of Delaney has been filled with numerous television films and dramas. Her career hasn't been successful or happy personal life. She is skilled and stunning, has had to battle addiction to alcohol prior to that. Her marriages have also failed two times. In 2005, she lost custody over her only son.
