Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, also known as Ari Lennox, a Washington, D.C.-based American singer/songwriter, was signed as Dreamville Records' the first artist of female gender for Dreamville Records by J. Cole. The first album she released with the label on October 21 2016 with the title Pho. It was then that she started to gain recognition. Shea Butter Baby her debut album was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox started uploading music to the Internet in 2012, when she released her mixtape debut Five Finger Discount, and her debut EP Ariography in 2013. The year 2014 saw Ari Lennox continued posting her music online as well as her own single Bound. The song was included in Omen's Elephant Eyes as well as on Sweat It Out on the 21st of July the 21st of July, 2015. J. Cole, who was part of the Dreamville crew at that time and wanted her to create Rihanna and Rihanna-related songs. On December 8 it was revealed that she had officially signed by Dreamville Records. In the album Revenge of the Dreamers II She was on the track Backseat alongside Cozz. Her Pho EP was released on her debut EP, on October 21 in 2016. Ari Lennox performed the song Change by J. Cole as well as being an opener on The 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. She was accompanied by EarthGang. In 2018 she guest-starred on two songs alongside her label-mates EarthGang to Nothing but the Best. Also, she appeared on Bas on Icarus. The debut album of Ari Lennox Shea Butter Baby was released on July 16, 2018. The first single, called Whipped Cream, from the album dropped on September 5, 2018 with a music video. She released her second single called Grampa on the 9th of November. In November 2013, she released her debut album No One as well as Pedigree. She appeared with Cole on the Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby the 16th of November 16and later made the track available as a solo single for her debut album. A music video was released 20 February 2019 in order in conjunction with the song. Within one week, it had over 3 million views. She was the supporting act for 6LACK in their From East Atlanta With Love Tour during December 2018.
